At SK Janow Podlaski

Finally we are set at Janow!! Really tough ride for the horses but Bimaal seems to be enjoying himself! A couple of things got left behind but nothing crucial (yet) seems to be missing 😉

New update tomorrow with pictures of this amazing place!

Falsterbo Horse Show

Took a trip to Falsterbo today to visit the annual FHS. Almost made it i time for the Grand Prix Special 😉 Also had some time to watch the freestyle but didn’t have time to watch Kittel & Scandic unfortunately…

Thanks a lot Djur & Natur – Lunnarp for the ticets!

First thing that caught my eyes as soon as we entered the FSH show ground. A beduin tent with beautiful decorations and ads on arabian horses and events in Oman 🙂 Arabian power!

Triviant leaving the arena
Charlotte Haid Bondergaard and Triviant did a good job!

Rose Mathisen & Bocelli – such an elegant horse!

We had a great time meeting up with Asta and Lotta!! Thank you for a nice catching up this weekend and for your company att FHS with an enjoyable ”fika”! Will see you soon, or in 7 weeks at least 😉

Getting there!

A somewhat stressful day and sometimes it’s good to remind oneself to relax and enjoy the journey too.

Spent the first part of the day training and taking care of all horses. Bimaal was excellent today, everything just turned out perfectly during our workout 😉

After our workouts we had a little photo shoot with Verdi to try out headbands Alfridam Stud has given us. They are sooo perfect! Thank you so much Frida & Lena!!

IMG_0314IMG_0326Aren’t they great?! PS. Somebody told somebody else that Verdi needs to get his ears trimmed 😉

Then we were goofing around a bit…

IMG_0328IMG_0357If someone is tired of all the blue/yellow outfits; here they are, the most beautiful non matching sunglasses in pink from S.E.R.O. (Sveriges Ekonomföreningars RiksOrganisation). You have to admit, these pink beauties have superstar potential… or something… 🙂

This day, like all others, is coming to an end and we said good night to our superstars at Rosdala knowing they are in good hands over there. Now we have some paperwork to do and some more packing of course.

However, most things are falling into place and we are so overwhelmed by all the people around us who are supporting us on our way. Of course, we will dedicate some of our forthcoming posts to these amazing people, stay tuned!

Tomorrow we have a barbeque coming up!

Something new, something old

Started the day of at Eriksdal, and then a trip to Rosdala to take care of Bimaal and Verdi who are treated like superstars over there!  Bimaal was very excited about his new pasture and the other horses around it 😃

20140705-014248.jpgThe color of his blanket reveals why he is wearing it 😉 more than just for protecting against flies then.

Before lunch we also did our first work- out for the day. Mostly just canter, jogging, extending and stretching to losen up since he had a lot of tension and tough work-out yesterday at the ride-up.
After that a nice bath for him and an involuntary shower for me (been sipping between my toes all day).
Later back to Eriksdal to train and feed the other horses, and after that a trip to Kärråsen to ride ”Calle”. He was great today, however takes a lot more muscle to ride him than Bimaal so I was completely exhausted but yeez those movements, like flying really 😄

And then back to Eriksdal to close up there and after that last trip to Rosdala to ride Bimaal a second time. He was awesome this evening! Just practiced two of the dressage test we will ride in Poland and he completely nailed them both. Think I almost ran out of ”good boy”, if that is possible 😊.

Rosdala’s beautiful indoor arena this evening 😍

When the student becomes the master? Or the other way around?

Okay, so here we go 😉

We had a very interesting day at Rosdala riding Bimaal, FLM Strauss and FLM Verdi in one dressage class each, judged by Eva Nilsson.

First up was FLM Strauss. He did such a good job, the star of the day in my opinion!

He was a lot more relaxed than last time (which was his first) and he looked like he had a better flexion and collection this time. He also looked more confident and in place 😉

Still some things to work on but then again it’s an never ending journey 🙂

And then,

”Bimaal, Bimaal, Bimaal, what to do with you?!?”

Truth be told he went completely nuts today during warm-ups. He jumped around, ran on two legs, three legs, eight legs…. no legs at all, he was all over the place. I. was. in. chock.

I was embarressed and he was the happiest horse in the world playing around like a 3 year old on the first show.

However, once we started our ride up he was somewhat calmer, but he was still not focused and refused to move alongside the walls since there was, and I tell you, THERE WAS, arabian eating monster hidden in the walls ready to jump at their targets, NOTE; especially white ones.

So the first part of our program was close to a disaster. On the other hand the second part was really good, scoring 7 on most parts with a few mistakes made by me.

Afterwards we had the chance to redo a couple of things with guidance from Eva which was the best part of the day. I recieved some really good advice and tips which we will work on 😉

Thank you so much Eva Nilsson / Rosdala Ridponny Pudel Dressyr!!!

So what we need to focus on in the forth coming weeks is focus and more focus,  play time is over 😉 and I have to be more effective in my eq when my partner is off track.

Ride up at Rosdala!

This morning started off rather stressful 😉 Laundry, planing, more planing, sending mail to sponsors, feeding horses at one place, feeding horses at another place, training and a ride up later this afternoon… was going to catch a bus, didn’t catch the bus… and so on 😉

Luckily most things usually turns out well anyways.

Bimaal and FLM Verdi has now moved to a new stable, Rosdala! They seem to be enjoying their new home 🙂 Not only are the stalls amazing and the people adorable but also finally we are privildged to have an indoor arena! YAY =)
